9th Literature
COURSE DESCRIPTION
9th Grade Literature is a 1 credit course that surveys classic and contemporary fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama with an innovative, multidisciplinary approach to writing. Students will develop proficiency in all four strands of the Georgia Standards of Excellence standards for Language Arts while developing 21st century communication and technology skills.

The Georgia Milestones Ninth Grade Literature and Composition End of Course (EOC) assessment is a criterion-referenced test designed to provide information about how well a student has mastered the gradelevel state-adopted content standards in English language arts (ELA). These assessments consist of a variety of item types, including selected-response, constructed-response, extended constructed-response, and extended writing-response items.
